We are certainly in a reformation greater than that of Martin Luther, as we step into this 21st century Church we must be sure to awaken the first century Church's model. When we look at the first century Church it was an apostolic power house.

Out of Acts chapter 11, the first century Church went beyond community into city and country communicating the gospel of the Kingdom. We must now press to know the progressive truth of God; building people apostolically to take cities and be empowered. As leaders, as the first century Church was, we must be able to perceive the time and seasons of God. Leadership must have prophetic perception for the future and an apostolic understanding of how to achieve this.

We must move in the power and the time of God; it is all about “HIS AGENDA”. When we look at the characteristic of this people that were called Christians in the first century, that were empowered to take cities and turn nations; they were a people that were Spirit sensitive, Spirit lead and Spirit empowered.

Are we that people today?

The early church did not have as many distractions as we have in the current century. The world of present times has invaded more of the earth than it had in the first century. Our senses are continually assaulted by worldly systems and information. We must train ourselves to listen and learn from Holy Spirit in this environment. When we are able to do this we will be able to move and conquer the world for His Kingdom. AWC and its training will help teach is how to do this. We need to pray that Holy Spirit will bring the students who are willing to: 1) learn and believe what Jesus taught. 2) go where Jesus would go. 3) do what Jesus would do. and 4) teach what Jesus taught. When we are able to do these four missions then the world will not prevail against the Kingdom of God on earth. The best, His best, is yet to come and the time is now!

Today we see a Church that is and fragmented and divided into literally thousands of denominations, movements, factions and sects. We sing songs, preach sermons, and talk about the army of God, but the reality is that the modern Church is a bunch of guerilla fighters often fighting with one another or quarreling among ourselves

    Interesting to think on:

1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
    2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
The 12 were referred to as disciples in the first verse, after receiving power (authority) in the very next verse the same 12 were referred to as apostles (apostolic). I have noticed in traveling and assisting different ministers over the years, 3 different levels of ministry. Anointing, authority, and seated government. I believe the apostolic or kingdom principle will flow from a level of seated government. I have witnessed this in great detail the last 2 months in my home, city, and state. Proverbs 20:8 A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes. I believe that we can reach a level through proper alignment and divine assignment that we are able to be in a place of seated goverment and scatter the enemy with more ease than we have witnessed in the past. I have scriptures and examples with this, but due to space and time I am just writing the basics. I could be wrong, but I do not think I am.

They were first called Christians (Christ–like or little Christ’s) at Antioch because they did and said what they saw and heard Christ say and do. The first century church were spirit led and spirit directed, obedient to the call and mandate of Christ our King through word and deed, faithful to the point of physical death.

Jesus said, “Greater works than these will you do, because I go to my Father.” Creation is not waiting on God to reveal His manifest sons; God is waiting on His creation, you and me, to be revealed. For there is but one message and millions of messengers holding the power to grant creations longing with great anticipation, the ability to see and experience the revealing of the manifest sons of God in the earth. The messengers are you and I, though what is the message that has been hidden from past generations, now revealed by God for such a time as this, allowing God the ability to manifest His power of love throughout the earth in which we live?

“Christ in you, the hope of glory”

I believe that this reformation will come as proper alignment comes. I heard the Lord saying that in order to take cities, states, and nations, we must move from the level of anointing to seated government. I have the scriptures for this but not enough space to write it all. In essence anointing comes through relationship and gifting, whereas seated government comes through proper alignment. Just as the centurion in Matt 8:5, he was speaking of alignment as he spoke to Jesus. Many in the church fear alignment because they feel they are giving up their vision, while they will actualy empower the vision through proper alignment.

TIMING ...TIMING...TIMING IS IN GOD WHAT LOCATION ..LOCATION...LOCATION IS TO BUSINESS. For us to know (perceive) the times and season of God is crucial in the strategy to take communities, cities and countries. I believe Holy Spirit is just waiting for us to ask because we are READY to go and do.I am reminded of the scrip that says "don't be hearers only but doers of the Word."

We don't have the same results yet that the first century church had, so we must still be in need of reformation. For centuries we have waited until God would finally do again what He did with the early church. Meanwhile He has been waiting for us to do what the early church did! So we must rediscover what their 'secret' was AND build on that, because there is even so much more in store for us then what the early church had. That was only the beginning!
I'm glad to be on this journey with AWC - to rediscover authentic Christianity.

I agree that we must awaken the first century Church's model. The Church of Christ is not yet the apostolic power house that it needs to be. But I believe we are already seeing some glimpses of the house that God is building. This year 2011 is all about aligning ourselves to God's world plan. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the PURPOSE of the LORD that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
I believe it is time to stop making our own plans and start aligning ourselves rightly towards His plan. Only then we will become this apostolic power house that the world desperately needs.
